Exercise Three. Ruairi O'Neill

Exercise Three.Ruairi O'Neill

Exercise Three.ruairi O'Neill

Revised Exercise Three, the Andalucia Study. This drawing focuses on steps and how changes in levels are dealt with and how the ratio between the thread and the rise of the step creates different social situations. The plans were drawn at 1:500 with the aid of CAD and imported images from map sources on the web. The sections @ 1:20 of the steps were drawn using personal documentation from the class trip. The axonometrics showing the steps in context were traced from 2D images exported from models I made of each area using Google Sketch Up. Using the X-Ray style in Sketch Up I was able to make the stairways stand out in the drawing, using a darker line for whatever part was in view and lightening the line weight for the parts hidden from view. The photographs were obtained form my own personal collection and from various classmates.
